Marlon Brando, 4K Digital Restoration Stanley Kubrick was originally hired to direct One-Eyed Jacks, but he left the project just prior to shooting. Star Marlon Brando took the reins, and it became his first and only directorial effort, a Freudian Western loosely based on the legend of Billy the Kid. “Mean, moody, and magnificent” (Time Out).
