A mash-up of art, comedy, and history that is sure to make you laugh and think. No Straight Lines tells the remarkable stories of five scrappy and pioneering comic book artists who broke the doors open and made LGBTQIA+ lives visible. The challenges they faced, and the solutions they found, are inspiring. Join us for director Vivian Kleiman and Artist Ajuan Mance in conversation and time for audience question and answer period. Ajuan Mance is a writer, illustrator, theorist, historian, and faculty member in California College of the Arts’s Illustration program. This event is part of a Bay Area film series of celebrated California documentary films supported by public funding in partnership with The Renegade Humanities Collective. @renegadehumanities on Facebook and Instagram.
