Live Music With Bluegrass with Tom Bekeny and Friends 07/24/26

Tom Bekeny and Friends is a bluegrass group comprised of highly experienced musicians who have been stalwarts in Bay Area music for several decades. Tom’s history as a performer dates back to the late 1970s. Since then, he has remained active playing mandolin and fiddle, teaching, recording, and touring with notable groups such as the Kathy Kallick Band, High Country, Laurie Lewis, Bangers and Grass, Done Gone, and Tenbrooks. He has also appeared with Peter Rowan, the Rowan Brothers, David Grisman, and Jerry Garcia. Tom was featured in the Summer 2009 issue of Mandolin Magazine and has an instructional DVD on beginning mandolin (Music Star Productions). In addition to his work in bluegrass music, Tom plays jazz mandolin with the Missing Man Quartet He released a solo CD project (“Jazzolin”) in 2013 on which he plays mandolin and fiddle.
