Job searching: Roadmap to reach your next career destination

Spoiler alert! Redoing your resume is not a good place to begin this journey. Resume building is ahead, but down the road and around a few bends. At this workshop we will discuss preliminary steps and tasks that will prepare you to make choices in selecting the most promising career destinations for you. We will present a checklist of filters that can narrow your boundaries. We will show a diagram of career assets that may jolt you into realizing you know more than you think you do. We will also discuss job boards and ways to reach out to create opportunities. In addition to resumes, we will share supplemental communication resources that will aid in navigating conversations. We will help sort through the dilemmas of resume decisions and share insights and techniques that will improve your chances of successful job searching. Plan to add your own ideas and ask questions as we work through issues. As usual, we will adjust our topic to the interests of attendees.
